12 Years a Slave is a movie about a average man who is a violin player. This movie is based on a true story. He went to a violin concert in Washington D.C where he was kidnapped to be sold to be a slave. He refused to be a slave because he thought it was not right. He was a slave for 12 years in Louisiana where he did plantations work. While he was a slave for 12 years he got beaten up, hard work and got sub standard food so it made him really weak.
